Are you new to the insurance world? You might want to read about the insurance wiki posted on Plum's landing page first. Flexi benefits are an advanced topic for beginners.

Overview

Here are a couple of examples where Flexi Benefits are needed.

We want to offer the employees the choice of purchasing Voluntary Topup based on their preference, and offer riders like Zero Deduction on their GMC policy. They should also be able to select a parent only plan to cover their parents. On top of it, during the enrollment, they should get a prepaid wallet which they can use to cover these employees based on their preference. Note that different set of employees might get different wallet amounts. Eg, L1-L5 employees get INR 5,000 and others get INR 10,000 as a pre-paid wallet paid by Swiggy.

We have a very simple policy to enable our employees to choose their Voluntarty Topup. Other benefits are bundled by default.

Get Started

Plum supports organisations with use cases such as the above with a Flexi Benefit Organisations feature. This feature was released for organisations like Swiggy, Postman, etc., on an on-demand basis. The engineering team partially owns the onboarding and endorsements, as the OT tool and HR dashboards are not equipped to handle Flexi Benefits fully automated.

Inviting OB managers to test flexi benefit onboarding The onboarding team has built tools to set up a new organisation powered by flexi benefits. Please follow through with the SOP defined in the upcoming section to learn more about how to test this on staging environment.
